Phuc Truong Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Hi, I was getting trouble while installing hda driver After i installed high definition audio device It didn't had any sound, try to restart, the speaker sound is buzzing too loud. I tried this hdaicout: It still have buzzing sound and it often no sound. Does anyone (especially deomsh) have a hdaicout compatible with alc887 audio chip? Im using this pc: I5 4570 3.20ghz Ram 4gb ddr3 Assus h81m-k (with alc887 audio chip)
deomsh Posted March 16 Posted March 16 There is no specific HDAICOUT.HDA for ALC887 as far as I know. Using another tailormade one depends first on the same Codec Index mentioned in HDACFG.INI. I have an ALC887 codec on my Asus board P8H61E. All I needed is two settings in HDACFG.INI: 1) pcipatchB=$7900 (Option on Intel H81 chipset too) 2) VolumeWidget=$0C As always: writing to chipset controller registers with pcipatchB is at your own risk (if any).
deomsh Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Congratulations. I'd like to know for my notes regarding the High Definition Controller of your Intel 81 chipset: was pcipatchB=$7900 really needed, or does pcipatchB=$0000 the same?
Phuc Truong Posted March 18 Author Posted March 18 But wait, when im install directx 9, it crashes when copying file dxsound.vxd
Phuc Truong Posted March 18 Author Posted March 18 It only a blank line under [vcache] so i don't know how much.
deomsh Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Add MinFileCache=1024 and on next line MaxFileCache=1024 and reboot. There is a good chance this will cure copy-errors.
