John123 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Hello. Could someone please help me? I have installed the Windows Vista Extended Kernel (10262021) and then I updated to the latest version (03092023). At first i was struggling to get the softwares working (such as Firefox 115) then I found out about the ofver file and it's working fine now. However i still can't get the video drivers to work, so some software such as OBS 26.0.2 won't run. I have a partition where i installed Windows 7 and I use the Intel HD Graphics 4000 on it. At first i tried simply installing the same driver there, but it say it's not compatible. Then I have tried the "Modified Intel HD Driver, version 9.17" but it has no installer, I tried installing manually on the Device Manager, but it keeps saying that the "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" is the most up to date. What am i doing wrong? I have an Optiplex 7010 with processor Intel i5-3470 Thanks in advance!
D.Draker Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Intel i5-3470 is the oldish Ivy Bridge, officially supported by Intel. The video driver ain't no need any Windows Vista Extended Kernel.

It's now 2025, 2021 is long gone, and you won't be able to run new software on it anyways. For example, you would only be able to run Chrome from 2 years ago, do you really need that? That said, I deeply regret it stopped updating! 1

I could not find any on their official site
D.Draker Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I assume you already tried those? There were links given across the forum already, the official drivers shouldn't be hard to find. https://msfn.org/board/topic/182659-can-someone-help-me-with-intel-hd-2500-drivers/#findComment-1204233 1

You're welcome, I still use parts of it in portable mode, but I never install it per se. Anything Haswell and up will only give you headaches with Vista x64. 1

D.Draker Posted January 26 Posted January 26 12 hours ago, John123 said: I could not find any on their official site Use archive org,! Intel simply deletes old drivers from time to time, and those will soon be 15 years old. So use archived pages. 1

John123 Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 I`m very sorry, i realized it was a different error now. Googling for it i found this: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000059389/graphics.html And now it works perfectly! Thank you so much D.Draker, that version you sent worked
