I have not heard anything about the VPN issue at this point. But that certainly does not mean the developer is ignoring it. It's quite possible (probable?) that this is an unintended bug the developer will be getting fixed.

Unfortunately, it's a crippling and disqualifying limitation for me (and potentially others) until it does get fixed. I don't use VPN to mask my IP. I use it to access secured servers for work, so VPN is required for my usage scenario.

Quick update:

It's been a month since I reported this issue and provided the developer with a video capture demonstrating the behavior. I have heard nothing further from the developer. I'm not familiar with the frequency of updates for the product and/or communication from the developer, so I don't know what's normal. A major reason for my interest in StartAllBack (vertical taskbar) is now seeing support from a competitor, so I'll keep my eyes open here for future updates, but it's looking less likely that I'll be patiently waiting for this to be fixed.

Thanks for keeping us informed, people usually tell, I'm clairvoyant. What else is here to comment...
