About the Microsoft Copilot Notebook feature

I think that they are making a big mistake with Wayland, just because it is not X11 with improvements .

One of the main reason why Windows is still so popular is that almost nothing gets removed from the api, you can still run most Windows 95 desktop apps on Windows 11. Corporations and developers of other software value backwards compatibility a lot. You can't expect everyone to update their software just because you now consider a feature they relied on obsolete (having everything running in xwayland is also not a solution).

Developers (especially hobbyist) tend to flag something as obsolete as soon as they come up with a better idea before even implementing it in a stable way, there is just no corporation to remind them of all the customers they may lose in the process.
