Custom WinPE setup prompt question?

Featured Replies

:) Hmmm.... followed the manual for creating a custom made WinPE CD.

Created a ISO using the oscdimg.exe tool and burned my CD, booted it and all I get right after the"press any key to boot on cd...." is:

"Please insert the disk labeled Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD into drive A:" "Press ENTER when ready"

Whats this any1? Cant find that question anywhere in tha manuals....

Hi.... I am using WinPE 1.2 ( i think.. dunno where i can verify this ) and I used the oscdimg.exe file to build the ISO image, but i guess I have to try it a fourth time again!

No one had this exact same problem? Seems as a wiered error message if there was anything wrong with the ISO as a crc error or something....

This is from \i386\LAYOUT.INF of my XP Volume License CD with slipstreamed SP1:

(around line 15800)

spcdname = "Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD"

spcdtagfilei = "\win51ip.sp1"

My CD has that WIN51IP.SP1 file off the root. Don't know why your PE build is looking for it, but that's what it's looking for. The file is 2 bytes of nothingness.
