I have 2 new laptops bought within 3 years. One is HP 850 G7 i7 10510u/16G/512G/Win11 22621, another is HP 战66锐龙版 r7 5800u/32G/1T/Win11 22621. When I run some old apps, such as 联想电脑学校, they cause CPU usage very high and the whole OS very slow. It's difficult to do other operations while these apps run. Listening to songs is also affected. 

These apps are made for Win9x. But even when running them in a Win9x VM, they also cause CPU usage very high (almost 100%) and their MIDI BGM sounds terrible - playing with stuck. Also, other operations in this VM are also with difficulty. Finally, I have to run them in a WinXP/Server 2003 VM with at least 4 CPU cores to decrease the CPU usage to <50% to lighten this problem. But it still makes me uncomfortable.
