Taking a PC off of a Domained network

Hey all,

I want to take a PC off of a domain network but want to make sure the user still has their profile, desktop links are still there. I'm afraid that if I just change the login type I will lose all of their stuff.

have the user a remote profile. if not i think you can do it without problems.

but.. is better to do a backup of the profile... try to use user profile to do that.

I think the only problem you may have is once they login locally rather than on the domain is that it creates a new folder under Documents and Settings. All you would have to do is copy those files over from the domain folder to the local one.
