iwod
Sorry i am a total noob and this may seems a stupid question.I am not 100% sure on this but XPcreate will Slipstream all hotfixes and Direct X 9 into the XP installation files. I use the word slipstream, not intergate it and uses some config files to run these hotfixes after installation. Am i correct in this?So once everything is finished with Xpcreate i will use the mothod in unattended guide which uses XP deploy tools to generate a winint.sif which has all the XP installation required information and Add the command with switches at the end of deploy tools for the application that i want it installed. Is there anything wrong with my steps or concept?Once i get all this done may be i should read more and write up a guide for total newbies.. GreenMachine
XPCREATE can be used either way: either before, or after, the rest of your unattended installation is created. I prefer to use it as the last step, where it will merge and add all the files, and burn the CD in one go. My reasoning is that by keeping all the files seperate until CD/ISO creation, it is considerably easier to maintain and keep updated.
