Tokugawapants Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Whenever I try to change a visual style or theme (including reverting back to the original), the start bar, explorer (windows and internet [we'll they're basically the same thing]) and right-click menus stay the same (they look like they're in safe mode). I have messed around with the uxtheme.dll file and have installed StyleXP and uninstalled it a couple of times. I've tried downloading the original backup uxtheme.dll and turning it into uxtheme.dl_ using the makecab command in command prompt and using it to replace the dl_ file I had in my C:\Windows\i386 folder. Does anyone know how to address this problem or even have a 100% sure way of restoring the uxtheme.dl_ file to the original? Thanks.
XtremeMaC Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 that i believe is bc of style xp.though uninstall doesn't work.u have to uncheck every visual option. apply it.then recheck all of them to get them backat least this is what i did after uninstalling style xp...
Tokugawapants Posted April 21, 2004 Author Posted April 21, 2004 Thanks. I tried it, but still the abnormal startbar and friends. Thanks anyway.
