As a result of a Beep-Boop-Beep-Boop noise from my PC this morning, I now need to by a new CPU fan. This is premature for me as I was hoping get an Athlon 64 later this year with accompanying fan, motherboard and new, fast Ram.

I now need to buy a CPU fan for my Athlon XP1.5 that will be compatible with the latest Athlon 64, I think it’s the 3400+.

…….Oh yes, it has to be quiet as well! Possible the Spire WhisperRock IV or one by Zalman but not sure if they are compatible with the Athlon 64?

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
