No Calendar popup in system tray

Hello,

After newly installing 2.6.4 for the first time, I'm noticing that the taskbar skin has killed the popup calendar.  Is there anyway to turn off the taskbar skinning?

I apparently have no patience, it took about a minute for it show up finally.  Unacceptable amount of time!

Update: The time is in multiple minutes not just one!
