PROBLEMCHYLD Posted July 16, 2018 Author Posted July 16, 2018 I've installed the update and Windows Live Mail still gives me the error. Thanks, at least the Find target is fixed.
heinoganda Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 (edited) Have in my VM started a test of Windows Live Mail and could not find any problems under Windows XP sp3, with updated status from July 2018, where the modified update KB4134651-v2 is used. A precise information of the error message would be an advantage. Update: Maybe it helpshttps://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-program/something-unexpected-happened-and-windows-live/874cb580-2d50-482a-8538-4cbe9a5d1b59?page=2 http://hardknocksstuff.blogspot.com/2014/11/solution-to-problem-sorry-something.html Edited July 16, 2018 by heinoganda
PROBLEMCHYLD Posted July 16, 2018 Author Posted July 16, 2018 Thanks, I have tried the solutions and didn't work for me. The exact error message is Quote Sorry, something unexpected happened and Window Live Mail must close. Your most recent changes may not have been saved. I am using SP4 if that makes any difference.
PROBLEMCHYLD Posted July 17, 2018 Author Posted July 17, 2018 (edited) After un-installing and re-installing, I get this error message as well Quote Contacts failed to load. Windows Live Mail is incorrectly configured, please re-install. Edited July 17, 2018 by PROBLEMCHYLD
PROBLEMCHYLD Posted July 17, 2018 Author Posted July 17, 2018 Just did a clean install with SP4 slipstreamed. Install Windows Live Mail and it was working. No errors. After updating 80 posready updates it broke. Now I have to find which update broke WLM. I'm leaning towards .NET updates.
