Thinkpad4 Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Does anyone have a list of all the updates after SP1, what they are, if they are good or bad, etc.? Both important and optional ones. Or if someone can point me you a recent website that has the list laid out that would be helpful too. Thank you very much
greenhillmaniac Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 I would recommend you use WHDownloader, a program developed by the good guys over at My Digital Life Forums: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/whdownloader-download.66243/ It uses various update lists, mantained mostly by user abbodi1406 and downloads all updates you've selected. It comes with the option to even downloads updates if you choose to install the Convenience Update Rollup, KB3125574, or not. You do have to register on the forums, though (which I do recomend, since you can find all sorts of community made programs that are extremely useful). 1

pinkmoon89 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Even if you don't use IE it's still worth keeping it up to date because of security reasons, just saying. That said, I quite liked IE 11 when I used it back when I was still running Windows 7. It worked for most sites I tried it on and Edge is a step back in my opinion. In total there should be around 190 updates for Windows 7 after a clean install of SP1.
albator Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 (edited) I have edited the list, remove KB2852386. Also, Internet Explorer is blocked in my firewall from connection to the internet. Edited November 30, 2017 by albator
