dtuck Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 is there a way to make a install package not for putting in windows cd. for example put 2 programs in 1 executable after i install windows.//
dtuck Posted April 10, 2004 Author Posted April 10, 2004 where you can make a unattended selfextracting mix of programs together in1. but not for xp install but rather just haveing to install any time. kinda like nero and norton in 1. so when i click on the file it will install those in 1 click..hope that made scense.thanks..
Alanoll Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 yes.All it would basically be, is either a rather LARGE archive that then executes a batch file to install each program, or you could just have a second CD that has the batch file.
dtuck Posted April 10, 2004 Author Posted April 10, 2004 thanks for the reply , but now u think maybe u could give me a small ecample on how to do it? thanks
WwTIPPYwW Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 take the steps to do it here, and then just apply it without running the XP install first.Go to http://unattended.msfn.org and read through the steps. Just make the START.CMD and load it up. Then run it and it will kick off the steps you want. The RUNONCEEX works too, just will require a log off/on (or reboot). It is possible to make an entire cd of applications, in the same way that they do XP+applications.Good Luck
Alanoll Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 The RUNONCEEX works too, just will require a log off/on (or reboot).not ENTIRELY accurate. add this at the end of your batch, and it will start the RunOnceEX process...rundll32.exe iernonce.dll,RunOnceExProcess
