GreenMachine Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 Welcome to MSFN, mniceguy81. Just as XtremeMaC sugessts, if there is an XPCREATE problem, attach the log file to your post. However, I am not sure that is your case. In fact, I am not sure that you have tried and experienced a problem. Have you? The only additional requirements you shold have are to place your SATA and Intel Chiupset drivers in the $OEM$ ... directory, indicate the correct path in OEMPnPDriversPath in WINNT.SIF, and you will be OK.
mniceguy81 Posted April 10, 2004 Author Posted April 10, 2004 Thank for Welcoming me to this beautiful and great site GREENMACHINE and thank you XTREMEMAC.But Please Help me!!!The Problem is whenever i use IE6 for about 1 Minute it stops working and in the status bar it says it's connecting but when i use other browser like i mentioned before Real player and Windows Media Player it's ok i can surf as long as i want without any problems.and the problem is not XPCREATE it's a great Program to help us thank you for creating it.Please could you show me how to add my SATA drivers, My INF Drivers, Registry Tweaks and WINNT.SIF in XPCREATE in a easy way to follow instructions. Please I'm a Newbie and sorry for taking your time to ever is going to help me.
GreenMachine Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 @mniceguy81: I really have no idea about your Internet access problems. I would think the problem is either in your Internet Explorer settings (if Netscape works fine, this would confirm), or your firewall/router/LAN settings (depending on how you are doing it). On the XPCREATE web site, there is a page about adding SATA drivers. Your other drivers would be added in a similar fashion to that of a normal unattended CD, with the exception that the $OEM$ directories should be placed in the FILESCD directory, to be copied to the CD at creation time.I will not be posting any 1-2-3 steps at this time, and, unfortunatly, if you require this, XPCREATE may not be your best alternative. As for the Internet Access problems, you might have more luck posting in one of the other forums. My schedule is very full these days, so my help here will be limited to error correction, and not user assistance. Sorry ...
mniceguy81 Posted April 11, 2004 Author Posted April 11, 2004 it's ok i know you're busy.I will try and fix the problem, like you said to the other members, it's good to have errors like that you learn from it untill you fix the problem.by the way i tried Netscape and Mozilla no luck.Could you please check my attached REG, maybe if it's causing the problemThank you any way.RegTweaks.reg
GreenMachine Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Sorry, I did not see anything, but I am certainly not an expert. Lke I said ... create a basic, working XPCREATION, and then add things till you find the one that is breaking your Internet access. I also believe it is more likely to be a configuratin issue than an installation issue.
mniceguy81 Posted April 11, 2004 Author Posted April 11, 2004 Thanks any way i will keep on tryingthanks again GM
mniceguy81 Posted April 22, 2004 Author Posted April 22, 2004 Hi i finally found the problem with my Internet Explorer and it was a program called ZEROADS (pop killer).i have another ? which is i'm trying to create a Raid or INTEL RAID for My Mother board P4C800 E-Deluxe and i have 1 Maxtor 200GB SATA, IBM 180GB IDE and Maxtor 40GB IDE could it pass or could i make RAID with only 1 SATA.Please help. thank you
GreenMachine Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 ZEROADS, eh? Never heard of it ...I am not sure I understand your question/problem. If you are asking about RAID configuration of the controller, I believe this should be done with some sort of DOS based utiltity. If the problem is in XPCREATE finding your SATA/RAID drivers, be sure that they are placed in the FILESCD\$OEM$\$1\DRIVERS directory, or sub-directory.
mniceguy81 Posted April 22, 2004 Author Posted April 22, 2004 I don't have a problem. it's just a question to know if i can make a raid or intel raid with the specs i have in my earlier topic.
