Undeon Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Hi everyone... I don't know if I searched correctly, but I'm following this area of MSFN for a few months, and I cant find a topic about that... I'm building a Pentium 3 machine with i815 chipset, with has a 66MB/s IDE controller onboard. I'm planning to use an 160GB SATA HD (limited to 127GB... It's not a problem to me), but dont know which is better (stability first, then performance)... A PCI Card with SATA controller or and IDE-SATA Adapter. I'm not concernead about performance, since both solutions will be faster than an IDE HDD... I'm only concernead about stability, but I'm not planning to extensively use the 133MB/s PCI anyway.... I'll use an Soundblaster card and maybe an WiFi... I don't know how much I must concernead, but that SATA drive will be only HDD, so it must be bootable...Thanks guys

jumper Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 This Google search of MSFN will find what you're looking for: site:msfn.org IDE-SATA Adapter
