ConiKost Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi!I've got a Toshiba Libretto 110CT (P1-233, 64MB RAM, 8GB CF) and have installed WFW311, 95C,98SE and ME.That notebook does have an Floppy, which is connected over PCMCIA. Under DOS, the floppy works as A fine. But with 95C, 98SE or ME, there is a drive A, which does not work (The system hangs for a couple sedonds, when trying to open that one). To get the PCMCIA floppy drive working, I have to install some drivers, but that floppy is now a second floppy with letter D. I don't want this. Can I somehow disable drive letter A and move my PCMCIA floppy to drive letter A? Thanks!
jaclaz Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 IMHO it would make more sense to find out why exactly the same floppy works fine in DOS but doesn't in 9x/Me. However, you may try to run Letter Assigner, see:http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/163405-slipstreamable-intel-chipset-inf-drivers/?p=1115060cannot say if it will work for your specific needs, though. The driver for the PCMCIA should be (usually they are at least) configurable to another drive letter "internally", possibly to drive letter B, you may need to disable the internal floppy in BIOS to get letter A: available... jaclaz
