YodaKnight
Everything I've read so far seems to indicate that I would need to be running Win2k or server in order to set up a VPN. Is this the case ? Or is there a way around this ? Both machines are running WinXP Pro by the wayPerhaps someone can suggest a better option.... ????I want to be able to create a connection so I can share files with my brother over the internet, using our broadband cable connections. Even if I can just set up a (privately !) shared drive on 1 of the PCs' that would help...I realise there are the implications of not having static IP addresses, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, as a temporary "direct" connection will do for now.Thanx in advance
R600
You can set up VPN on Windows 2000, XP (Pro), server editions.Windows ME can be connected to one but not set up one up.

ojai00
Thanks for that link wl6538. I've had trouble setting up the VPN server under XP because I was having problems getting past that router but maybe this guide could help.
