When I set the borders to smaller sizes with this registry (makes dimensions and caption font size like XP):

(need to log in again to see changes) The borders are not styled like they should be when using a visual style that has border styles. (ex vista VS, windows 7 VS, longhorn revealed, etc)

 

The border dimensions and caption font size can be undone with this:

I use reduced size borders / title bars myself with the Aero 7 v2 theme and my own replacement theme atlas...
