Windows 2012 R2 Standard Network Issue

Hello,

I have installed 2 Windows 2012 R2 Standard Edition on VMware Workstation 10. But both servers are not communicating with each other. Also when I try to ping servers it gives Destination Host Unreacable.

When I try to join member server with Domain then get below DNS error.

The DNS SRV records required to locate a AD DC for the domain are not registered in DNS. These records are registered with a DNS server automatically when a AD DC is added to a domain. They are updated by the AD DC at set intervals. This computer is configured to use DNS servers with the following IP addresses: x.x.x.x

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Verify they are in the same IP scope and subnet.

 

Can the servers get to anywhere through the network?
