Elliot77 Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) Oh please, you've been super helpful - thank you! I hid KB2934207, but do not see KB905474 (this is post a prerequisite .net 3.5 SP1 update, so perhaps that has something to do with it). Edited December 29, 2014 by Elliot77
dencorso Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 OK. I'm back! It seems the outage is over now, but it's raining again, so... Well, let's see: 1.) You're able again to use the online updates, I see, but are you on Windows Update, or were you able to go all the way and are alredy using Microsoft Update once more? Observe that the sites are almost identical, it's only the "Windows Update" or "Microsoft Update" title, on the left of the upper blue strip that changes. 2.) You were able to hide KB2934207 (the XP EoS nag), so it won't nag you ever! That's great. 3.) Have you updated the system to the point is says: "no high-priority updates for your computer are available" ? 4.) Please do again locate inside C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and report the versions of the following files:muweb.dllwuweb.dllLegitCheckControl.DLL
Elliot77 Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 I am using Microsoft Update, and yes, I am now showing no available high-priority updates. wuweb 7.6.7600.257muweb 7.6.7600.257legitcheck 1.9.42.0
