toreach
Hi all,while changing something in my registry and exporting keys it annoys (?i bet this is spelled wrong) me looking at the exported reg files finding the whole structure in them instead of only the one value. So i started reading through them deleting unneccesary things when found. (YES, i do such strange things).So first can any other editor do it better?But what i`ve found after a while was the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\OC Manager\Subcomponents](OC Manager = Object Components Manager ?)About 162 Options to choose from are listed there. I`ve sorted (sort,sort,sort? or sort,sorted,sorted? ; ) them and added those which i found in the other thread about this part of winnt.sif. It would be great if a few people here could look at that key in their registry and check if there are options listed that are not listed below.Thats it.[Components]AccessCur = Offaccessopt = OffAgent = OffAppsrv_console = Offautoupdate = Offbeacon = OffBitsServerExtensionsISAPI = OffBitsServerExtensionsManager = Offcalc = OffCertsrv = OffCertsrv_client = OffCertsrv_server = Offcharmap = Offchat = Offchinese_simplified = Offchinese_traditional = Offclipbook = OffCM = Offcom = OffComplusnetwork = OffCoreFonts = OnCoreSounds = OffDefaultMusic = OffDefaultPictures = Offdeskpaper = OffDesktopWallpapers = Offdialer = OffDirectShow = OnDirectX = Ondisplay = OffDllCache = OffDriverCache = Offdtc = OffDtcnetwork = Offdutch_dutch = Offenglish_uk = Offenglish_us = OffExtraFonts = Offfax = OffFlash = Offfp_extensions = OffFp_vdir_deploy = Offfreecell = Offfrench_french = Offgerman_german = Offhearts = OffHypertrm = Officfv6 = OffICW = OffIE = Offieaccess = OffIis_asp = Offiis_common = OffIisdbg = Offiis_doc = Offiis_ftp = Offiis_htmla = Offiis_inetmgr = OffIis_internetdataconnector = OffIis_nntp = Offiis_pwmgr = Offiis_smtp = Offiis_smtp_docs = OffIis_webadmin = OffIis_webdav = Offiis_www = Offiis_www_vdir_printers = Offiis_www_vdir_scripts = OffIis_www_vdir_terminalservices = OffIndexSrv = Offindexsrv_system = OffInetprint = Offiprip = Offitalian_italian = Offjapanese_default = Offkorean_default = OffLicenseserver = Offlpdsvc = OffMagnifier = OffMedia_clips = OffMedia_utopia = OffMigWiz = Offminesweeper = Offmousepoint = OffMovieMk = Offmplay = OffMSDAC = Offmsmq_adintegrated = Offmsmq_core = Offmsmq_httpsupport = Offmsmq_localstorage = OffMsmq_MQDSService = OffMsmq_RoutingSupport = Offmsmq_triggersservice = Offmsmsgs = OffMSNExpl = Offmsnexplr = Offmsoe = OffmsoeStationery = Offmswordpad = OffNarrator = OffNetcis = Offnetfx = OffNetMtg = OffNetoc = Offnotebook = Offntcomponents = OffObjectpkg = OffODBC = OffOEAccess = OffOobe = OffOpenGLScr = Offp2p = Offpaint = OffPCHealth = Offpinball = OffPop3Admin = OffPop3Service = OffPop3Srv = OffPrefetchCache = Offrec = OffReminst = Offrootautoupdate = OffRstorage = OffSapi = OffScr = OffScreenKeyboard = OffSearchAssistant = Offsimptcp = Offsnmp = Offsolitaire = Offspanish_modern = Offspider = OffSPSource = Offstickynotes = Offswedish_default = Offsystem = OffTask = Offtemplates = Offterminalserver = OffThai_default = Offtpg = Offtswebclient = Offupnp = OffUserGraphics = OffUtilMan = OffUtopia = Offvol = Offwab = Offwbem = Offwbemsnmp = OffWindowsTour = OffWindowsUpdate = Offwmaccess = OffWMP = OffWMP64 = OffWMPOCM = OffWMPSkins = OffWMPTour = OffWSH = OffXPSounds = OffZipFolder = Offzonegames = Off oh, ok, at least its saved here so i cant loose it ... XtremeMaC
those are all known components and most of them work in winnt.sif i dunno about the wmp ones but i'm sure if they're under oc thing they might work..good accidental find
jdeboeck
weird, my list only includes the commonly known [Components] not CoreFonts, CoreSounds or anything else that is not in the sysoc.inf structureEDIT: and I doubt this would actually work in winnt.sif... for instance zipfldr.dll is copied during textmode setup, and registered from syssetup.inf... so its always there. Media_Utopia is a known mistake, its documented by MS, but simply isnt included. Is anybody else seeing this list ?

toreach
If u would sort them it would be easier to read through and see changes.just type"sort %PATH%\unsorted.txt >%PATH%\sorted.txt"(sort input >output)w/o the quotes. sort is included in xp installation.DisableSecurityCenterAlerts is new to me

toreach
Does that mean i can only aplly them with XPLite? Ive tried the components config above, everything is fine. Though i havent checked them but the zipfunction is still enabled after installation. But thats not a real problem.
