sedative Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 it's not there when you reply to a post, it's there when you're viewing the thread.. it's called "track this topic"
BAH Posted June 6, 2002 Author Posted June 6, 2002 yeh thanks sed worked that out after i posted message
Phyb3r Posted June 7, 2002 Posted June 7, 2002 I noticed that only one notification is sent per day... is it so for everyone ?
Blackwar Posted June 7, 2002 Posted June 7, 2002 I noticed that only one notification is sent per day... is it so for everyone ?hmm.. well im not getting any oh wait, nevermind, i just subscribed to one of the threads, and it seems like you get one email per day, like Phyb3r said..oh well, still not too bad hopefully they will improve this feature in future releases ... Blackwar
Blackwar Posted June 8, 2002 Posted June 8, 2002 So how come I'm not getting any? at the bottom of every thread, there is an option : "track this topic"Did you click that piaqt?because this board does not automatically send emails to new replies like vBulletin did...You need to manually select the threads you want to subscribe yourself tell me if that works Blackwar
sedative Posted June 8, 2002 Posted June 8, 2002 it only sends one email per day for a topic, not one email for each reply.
Phyb3r Posted June 9, 2002 Posted June 9, 2002 it only sends one email per day for a topic, not one email for each reply. Is it a limitation in Invision Board or is it configured like that ?
Blackwar Posted June 9, 2002 Posted June 9, 2002 well, as far as i know, it is a limitation of invision board so that your email doesn't get spammed with all the replies...It does make sense that it sends one email tho, since you will visit this thread once it sends you the e-mail, you will be able to see the newer posts at the same time There is also some more information about the email notification option of invision board in the help section her e: http://www.msfn.org/index.php?act=Help&CODE=01&HID=5Blackwar
