RedBrain Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 My mom installed XP on her computer, but at some point durning the install she must have opted to keep her old OS on there as well. When she boots up, she has the choice to pick an OS. Win 98 or XP.She does not want 98 on her computer (thus the new os) and I'm sure it's eating up unneeded space. I'm not sure how to get 98 off while keeping the new XP intact. Can anyone help?
XtremeMaC Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 just delete the win98's windows folderand edit the boot.ini file found in the root of c driveif its not upgraded if should be easy to remove..
