Hello everyone,

I got a problem with the W7 ULT SP1. I cant make any update with windows updates. it is a fresh install of W7 ult SP1 on my laptop. Before i have W7 ult with latest updates on it. I wanted to reinstall because the system partition was too small.

1. How i install a fresh windows on my laptop

I'm using the ISO "Windows 7 Ultimate with Service Pack 1 (x86) - DVD (French)" from MSDN.

My ISO have the checksm SHA1 : 6A4D873E82698F7BF157C67A69C2DB9BCE6C769E same as the one on msdn. so integrity of the iso is fine.

Then i used the application : Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to make a USB Bootable version of windows. I used the iso, followed the step to make a bootable USB... no problem.

Then i plug the USB , turn on laptop, follow the instruction to install W7, i format the partition, change size of partitions, blablabla, everything is fine, i finally reach the desktop. and first thing i want to do is download all the windows update. I didnt install anything yet, no anti virus, no firewall, nothing.

im connected to internet with a a RJ45 wire not by wifi. im currently writing this message with my laptop, i can install other applications, surf on net, do anything but windows update dont work.

I did 5 or 6 install of W7 on this PC in case something went wrong during the installation. i still had the same problem.

2. what my problem ?

On a freshly installed W7 ult SP1, i cant make any windows update, i receive various error that make me unable to download any update.

I remind you i dont have anything installed.

Those errors are mainly :

WindowsUpdate 8024402F

WindowsUpdate 80244022

WindowsUpdate 800B0001

WindowsUpdate 8024402F what i do :

I download the Mr Fix it : http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=231149 i folow the instruction

It does say : problem installing recent update solved

but it does not help, i still have the problem.

Then i try to use Crisis Aversion Tools to help me, it does say problem solved, but once again, no change ,it does not help me update.

I choose Reset Windows Update and this is the report. When you read it i have several errors that occured but the CAT application consider the problem solved.

I downloaded this System Update Readiness Tool fixes Windows Update errors in Windows 7 http://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/details.aspx?id=3132 KB947821

But again, my problem are not resolved. I still cant make update.

I'm currently testing with Windows Updates Downloader 2.50.

Do you have anything that could help me ?

Is the date and time correct on the PC?

Is Windows activated? (look at the properties of Computer, scroll to the bottom. Should have a blue rectangle there.)

I still have the problem.

And yes my windows is activated and genuine.

Sorry I had to fix your post. When we say "attach" we mean use the attachment function of the forum. Huge logs are very difficult to handle in a forum post. :angel
