mikep56 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Hi All,I am running Windows XP Pro with SP3. I have hibernate selected in power options; however I need to press 'Shift' for the hibernate option to appear in the 'Turn Off Computer' popup box.Is there a tweak to have 'Hibernate' appear instead of 'Standby'?Thanks,Mike
GrofLuigi Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) REGEDIT4[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System\Shutdown]"HibernateAsDefault"=dword:1"ShowHibernateButton"=dword:1Also for current_user.Is this what you're looking for? It has been mentioned in this forum before.*Edit: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893056GL Edited April 1, 2013 by GrofLuigi
