shadow33 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Hi. I know the software is forgotten. And Windows XP is fading to a lot of people. But I wish the creator of this software could have kept the visual styles out of the unattended section. I like to add all my favorite visual styles, but I don't want my XP setup using unattended. I like to fill out the answers. So now I'm stuck with adding my styles after the installation. Should be a option to turn off the users and general area of the unattended section. So I could still add my styles. That's my problem.
Guest Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Don't fill out anything in the unattended section and then when nLite is done (before you make the ISO), delete i386/winnt.sif.
shadow33 Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Hi. Where would that file be located? Would it mess up my nlite creation? Will I still have my default visual style included? Thanks
shadow33 Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Hi. One more thing. I found the winnt.sif file. I opened it using notepad. But I see the visual styles are on that file. If I delete that wouldn't the styles be deleted too? Plus the default style.
Guest Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) Funny. I didnt see the styles in my test. Can you attach the winnt.sif? Make sure it has no serial when you do. Edited August 29, 2012 by -X-
shadow33 Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 Hi. Here'e the file you wanted. The style line is: ([shell]CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\My Theme (nL).theme"). Would this change my default style I picked out? Or does it matter.WINNT.SIF
Guest Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) OK, when you are in the unattended section, general, unattended mode select provide defaults. Do your themes and nothing else.Don't delete winnt.sif. Edited August 29, 2012 by -X-
