thecavern Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Hi,I have a number of PC's on the network. I would like to allow all to be able to update the Date/Time without having to use the Administrator ID/Password.How can I eliminate the need for an ID or password for this function ?
IcemanND Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 open SECPOL.MSC underSecurity settings - Local Policies - User Rights AssignmentAdd the users/groups you want to have access to change time to: - Change the System Time - Change the Time zone
thecavern Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Could you also please give me the info if using VISTA ?Thanks !!
IcemanND Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I assume you tired the above without success in Vista? I no longer run any vista systems so I have no way to check or test.Alternatively you can open gpedit.msc and browse to the same setting: Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights AssignmentAs far as I know this is in every NT based OS.
