allen2 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Windows server backup does its backup to vhd file and should also take things like the mbr and not only the files like the wim do. Both backups will keep the link to your other drive/application but if you want to restore from bare metal windows server backup is better as it "should" restore also the mbr and the partition table....
