Nlite Startup Error - won't run

I've just installed Nlite 1.4.9.1 to slipstream an XP SP3 cdrom so I can do an inplace upgrade on a PC that had spyware problems and now networking is screwed. I'm getting an error screen (attached) that makes no sense. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and knows of a fix.

I've also tried ver. 1.4.9 and 1.4.8 with the same results.

I had the same error several times and I fixed it by reinstalling .NET 2.0... Does anyone have any idea what exactly may cause such a corruption of .NET?
