kosal
Dear all,I am a student. And recently, I have join in this forum for a newbeis.I am interested in "Create DOS for your XP", because I want to use ghost.exe to restore windows from DOS.So lucky, I have found post on other site guide how to do this, but I've just found only the step. I don't how where to get these file especailly the sysXPfat.com (sys.com, debug.exe, read.scr, sysXPfat.com, bootpart.exe), because I want to learn from you.Because I used to see some one do like this in boot.ini[boot loader]timeout=3default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS[operating systems]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetectC:\ = "Microsoft Windows"and after restart, he goes to C:\cd ghost.exe. But that time I was too weak to do that. Please let me know. Thanks, I am looking forward to hearing from you.I hope to learn more from you.
jaclaz
I have found post on other site guide how to do this,Do you really think we know all the internet and can guess WHERE you read that ? And yes, we can .http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?showtopic=7233but that is 2004, there are much easier ways by now (typically using a DOS floppy or superfloppy image mapped with grub4dos).If you state what your GOAL is (as opposed to the way you think you should reach it) there may be even further ways. Please take note of these too:http://homepage.ntlworld.com./jonathan.deboynepollard/FGA/problem-report-standard-litany.htmlhttp://homepage.ntlworld.com./jonathan.deboynepollard/FGA/put-down-the-chocolate-covered-banana.htmljaclaz Edited January 12, 2012 by jaclaz
