Hallo zusammen,

ich stehe vor einem Rätsel:

Also ich möchte ein altes Dos-Programm (GS-Auf) weiter, auf einem neuen Rechner laufen lassen.

Da ich bedenken habe, dass der alte Rechner, wo es bisher installiert ist, nicht mehr lange Zeit (dennoch hoffe ich es) zuverlässigt läuft (ca. 10 Jahre alt).

Somit möchte ich auf einem neu gekauften Rechner:

Terra PC-HOME 2000LE Silent i230/1GB/500 mit FreeDOS:

Intel Atom 230 Prozessor 1.6 GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM Arbeitsspeicher

Intel GMA 950 Grafikkarte, ohne Diskettenlaufwerk

das Dos-Programm: GS-Auf installieren.

Leider kenne ich mich mit FreeDos nicht aus, da nur eine Kommandozeile angezeigt. ...

Deshalb möchte ich auf diesem Rechner Windows 98 installieren.

Oder gibt es hier eine einfache Möglichkeit???

Ich habe die CD´s: 1x microsoft Windows 98 Start! (ich glaube diese ist nicht bootfähig, da trotz 1.Priorität, diese nicht gesartet wird).

2 x Microsoft Windows 98 Zweite Ausgabe

Diese wird dann gestartet und ich habe die Auswahl mit der Installation auf der CD, Festplatte und noch eine.

Also die Auswahl zwischen drei Punkten, die immer angezeigt wird (wie ich in verschiedenen Installationsanleitungen im Netz gesehen habe).

Nun folgen mehrere automatische Kommandozeilen (oder wie man das nennt) danach soll wird man aufgefordert, die Start-Diskette in Laufwerk A (Diskettenlaufwerk) einlegen.

Nun weiß ich nicht weiter - bei den meisten Foreneinträge besteht das Problem darin, die CD ist nicht bootfähig aber bei mit ist sie dies, nur nach dem Starten der CD soll die Startdiskette eingelegt werden ...

Übrigens, man benötigt doch den Produktkey noch, oder. Kann dieser vom alten Rechner kopiert werden ???

There are no device drivers for the Intel GMA 950 graphics card, and possibly for network and Wi-Fi, that will work with Win 9x?ME. So you'll end up with a not fully working system on the machine. Read this thread to see what I mean. If that's OK by you, then fine, but I thought it's just fair that I warn you about this problem. And yes, you'll need the product key, of course, for it to work. If you decomission the old computer, you can reuse the product key. But you cannot use the same product key on two computers at the same time.

now I will by a new PC for:

Windows 98 mit PS/2- Tastatur/Maus oder USB Tastatur/Maus laufen, (die verwendete Tastatur/Muas hat USB-Anschluss+Adapter)

+ Dos-Programm GS-Auf muss darauf laufen

+ Treiber für Canon i4850 (USB) oder ähnlichem Treiber, da Canon nur für XP aufwärts anbietet.

+ CD-®-Laufwerk

+ VGA-Anschluss 800*640 reicht.

HAve you any idea waht will be the correct PC
