dude905 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Hi... My computer with Windows xp pro sp3 would take for ever to load IE ( pretty much everything else ) . I have done everything possible I could think of towards scaning for bugs but the system is clean . I even try turn off all the services and it still wouldn't load IE quick . I mean it takes 2 good minuts before IE would load up . Than I notice when I went to uninstall Microsoft Net Framework 3.5 sp1 afterwards IE would load up much quicker ( within 20 seconds ) My question is why would Net Framework cause this ? Thanks
Tripredacus Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 What version of Internet Explorer is installed? Also, do you have .Net Framework 3.5 installed now, just no SP1? There is a hotfix or update for SP1 as well since when it was originally released it broke certain parts of Windows, notably remote desktop.
dude905 Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Hi... I would always get the latest updates when they became available from MS . Though I couldn't figure out why IE 8 wouldn't load quicker or better yet most of the apps . So I started doing the scans and than the drivers but all came back good . So I started uninstalling one at a time and I notice after I uninstalled NF 3.5 sp1 the apps were much better , liveable ... Now what I have done was reinstalled and I did notice afterwards their were 2 others updates for it . So far it seem to be okay, crossing my fingers . Edited May 9, 2011 by dude905
