Yahoo! Messenger 10 and Windows 2000 with IE5

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what it would take to get a fully-working version of Yahoo! Messenger on Windows 2000 SP4 with IE5?

After installation, in order to get the program to launch, I had to replace WININET.DLL (from IE5) with that from IE6. Now I'm able to sign in (but always only at the second try) and see contacts online, but I can't send or receive any communication.

Any guesses as to what files I could replace to change this, maybe?
