SmoknJays Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I am trying to just install xp onto HD from different comp that I have connected using usb to serial. When I put disc in it says Its blocked due to compatibility issues. I tried calling tech support and they said there are some files i need to get rid of or move to make it not have this issue so i can install but they wanted money to help me. Not going to pay 80 bucks just for this. Does anyone know what I have to do to make it allow the setup. I am not trying to install xp on my current computer it is new and windows 7 works fine so i dont wanna mess anything up. Just need it to allow me to install on this other hard drive that i already have wiped and formatted. Please help.
ChiefZeke Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Disconnect the drive containing Win7, connect the new formatted drive and install XP, remove the XP drive, reinstall/reconnect the Win7 drive. Should prevent all incompatibility issues.
