nLite closes after selection of folder with XP SP3

Hi,

I am new to nLite and my first attempt was not very successfull.

I installed nLite (latest version) on my machine (XP Prof., SP3, latest updates, .net 3.5 SP1).

nLite starts fine. After slection of folder with the files of the setup CD nothing happens - until

I click on something in the nLite window. Then the window closes - that's it.

What is wrong ? Any hints, help etc highly welcome.

Welcome to MSFN.

It is recommended to have nLite copy the CD to the PC in a working folder. Did you try that or you copied the files manually? nLite looks for a directory with an I386/AMD64 folder to copy from. What kind of CD do you have?

Hello and thank you for answering,

I have copied the full disk of a standard MS Windows Prof. to a directory. In this directory there is a subdirectory

named i386, as required.

Is .net 2.0 mandatory ? As already mentioned, I have .net 3.5 installed.

Any help is highly appreciated.
