debug log and IE8

Every time I use IE8 (these past few days, since Firefox and GMail don't together well anymore), a file debug.log appears in the Desktop folder. The log file is empty. Any ideas how to make it not appear anymore?

Uninstalling the Google Talk plugin certainly did the trick for preventing debug.log from appearing. The strange thing was I couldn't find that the plugin was being loaded in the add-ons section. It still hasn't changed anything for Firefox and the non-responsiveness of GMail, though...
