Guest DikDee Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I'm inches away from making my own rescue win7DVD but I am still unsure what programs to use. (Reading the stickies made me wonder) I'm in the process of downloading Win7 OPK but I read somewhere that WAIK for 7 is as good as OPK-7. So here are my questions and any help would be much appreciated 1. Should I go ahead with OPK?2. When it comes to stripping win7 from unused stuff and including drivers and progs and such is there any advantage between the two? (i.e. wich one would you choose in my case?)Reason I ask: I searched the forum for OPK but am getting old results (2005-2006, etc.).Cheers!
Tripredacus Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Hmmmm downloading the OPK. I don't like the sound of that. Typically Microsoft mails you the OPK... They come in big yellow envelopes... If you are not a Microsoft Partner in the OEM Channel, it is not legal for you to use the OPK Tools. You need to use the WAIK. If you are in the OEM Channel, you need to contact your TAM on documentation to use the OPK Tools, however this information is also on the Extranet.
Guest DikDee Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) Ow shucks, just my luck. What are the odds of joining a forum where everybody uses official copies of MS products..... I'll figure it out somewhere else; thanks anyway Cheers Edited October 14, 2010 by DikDee
