vibrant Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Hello all,I create a slipstream XP installation with SP3 successfully, but when I load the CD, Windows Setup gives the "The fıle cmdide.sys could not be found." error and the setup is aborted. I tried adding the file both compressed and zipped to root and i386, also specifying the file under the Keep field without much success. Any ideas?CanLAST SESSION.INI

Any ideas?Canvibrant, welcome and thanks for the Last Session.ini. I see nothing obvious with it to explain your symptoms. Have you run nLite more than once against the same source? You should always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders and run nLite only once doing all your work. Did you get any errors running nLite - you should get none? Where did you get your source? Enjoy, john.
vibrant Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 Thank you for the warm welcome John. It was obvious that the source I used from my hard disk was not clean, yet somehow I failed to pay attention to it. That problem is solved by using a fresh source from a CD, thanks a bunch! I am yet to figure out why I constantly get an error when trying to slipstream Intel Matrix SATA drivers though. I have tried 3 different driver packages and the last attempt was with STOR_allOS_8[1].7.0.1007_PV.exe. The error log is attached to this message.Last Session.ini288f_appcompat.txt

I do not understand why you are getting an error on driver integration. You should get none. I also do not understand what the 288f_appcompat.txt file is. Please post a screen shot of the error message(s). You should get no errors running nLite or installing XP. Including all those versions of the driver is not necessary and can cause problems. I suggest you look at the Sticky above by Fernando 1 (expert here on drivers). He probably offers a driver for your HW. Enjoy, John.
Ponch Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 iaAHCI.inf,iaStor_ICH8MEICH9MEthis looks like a "Win9x" driver, might be (one of) your problem.
iamtheky Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 dont think thats indicative of operating system in this case http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/sb/cs-022304.htmmaybe try this:http://forums.techpowerup.com/showpost.php?p=1120114&postcount=4
vibrant Posted September 4, 2010 Author Posted September 4, 2010 Thank you for the replies. 288f_appcompat.txt is the error report produced by nLite. I've managed to slipstream with all the driver packages apart from the buggy imver9. I haven't been able to determine what the culprit was, yet I am suspicious of using the iaSTOR drivers instead of the AHCI ones and the connected USB DVD & HD drives. Once again, many thanks to all and have a good night.
