1st, please edit your 1st post asap to remove your license key from the 2nd attached file.

2nd I don't see any user created, so I don't know what users you are talking about ?

Note that nLite does not deal with previously artificially added users (only with standard MS XP inbuilt users), this is a known -bug- so you absolutely need to begin with a fresh set of files and add you own users with correct rights set (if this is what we are talking about).

Hi ponch, yes that is what I was talking about.

I was able to create a user but trying to limit the account the limit box was greyed out, so guess I need to create all users first. Seems I have never had to do that before. Guess not.

Anyway I lost my ability to see the "system information" tab from system tools in my start menu, anybody know what that might be. Thanks

Hi folks, I am missing my ability to limit user accounts see the system information tab.

Not sure if I got the right attachment but first time at this site.

Thanks for suggestions.

thedockson, you are the third person (one twice) today that I have told that running nLite under Vista or W7 and integrating a Service Pack will not work. I really strongly urge all nLite users to spend some time looking at previous posts to see what is typical. After you rerun nLite (against a fresh copy of your CD files/folders) using XP or not integrating an SP, then please let us know if you still have problems. BTW, you need only one SP and that should be SP3. Enjoy, John.

On that screen, the "Local Group" is first greyed out because user "Administrator" is highlighted. As soon as I click "Add" to add a new user, a new entry is created ("new user") and the choice becomes available for other groups for that user. I don't know if it's diferent for you.

What I say is, if you reprocess that set of files with nLite again later, things will go wrong with that "new user" and others.

After starting another nlite on win7 I realized after a moment that that was likely my issue and hit the xp computer and am installed now.

Only thing now though is I am still missing my system information tab under programs> accessories> system tools, looked around for an answer, anybody knows what may have removed that?

thanks

thedockson, probably removing Help and Support, but please attach your latest Last Session.ini. Also if you will hover your mouse over Help and Support on the nLite Component Task, you will see that msinfo is removed. Enjoy, John.
