I help repair PCs but get sick of not having the right installer disc for whichever system im on.

The last 2 days I made a vista32/64 all in one disc and a 7 32/64 all in one disc.

Now Im hoping to get an XP pro, home and media center into 1 disc.

I tried following the tutorial on here, http://flyakite.msfn.org/

But some links are dead and I hit a roadblock with the boot information section since I cant run the installer through Win7 as its too new.

But I seen someone mention converting xp to a wim? Is it possible to then to mix them with my win7 since thats only 3.7gb.

I can always take it to dual layer if possible. I would just love to cut this down as much as I can.

Its all legit so I dont need any hacked keys or installers.

Actually in the meantime even the CD/DVD technology has become partially obsolete, most people that need such a number of setups tend to "migrate" towards USB based installations or, in the case of a PC lab towards network deployment.

I was planning to do the USB methods next. Its just some of these PC's are so archaic that they dont support booting to USB sometimes.

But after I get the multi XP disc going, USB was going to be next, definitely.

Well, I hope youare not going to install Vista or Windows 7 on computers that don't have USB booting support, (which should roughly mean something manufactured before 2001 ).

If you are just going to install to these 2K or XP/2003, you won't need to make a more complex multiboot DVD with both NT 5xish and 6xish releases (though it si not that much a problem).

So you could use your USB device together with a floppy or cd booting plop (if the target has at least an USB port).

Installer is not required.

Basically there are three boot files: setupldr.bin, ntdetect.com and txtsetup.sif.

Set SetupSourcePath and BootPath at txtsetup.sif.
