Acer Aspire X1700

I recently decided to attach my Acer Aspire X1700 to my HDTV used a HDMI cable picture works perfect but no sound. So i got searching other people had the same issues so I hooked up a optical cable still no sound tried new drivers played with the settings in control panel and still no luck.Acer support was no help at all they had no idea what was wrong they only suggested to send my PC in so they can look at. Any suggestions would be helpfull.

To get sound trough HDMI you need at least a TV and Computer that support both HDMI 1.3. Your nVidia 7100 video card doesn't support HDMI 1.3. Use your analog sound out on your computer to get sound to your TV, that's the ONLY way.
