where do i get more info into how windows xp boots

how do i get a program to run earler in the xp boot process?

i mean even run in safe mode?

When specifically do you want it to run, and what is "it"?

hey its just a password program ,i really want it to run before safemode, because if someone pushes f8 they can reset it.

Do you mean, so that if the user does not know the password, they cannot boot the system? Most BIOS will have an option to set a boot (and/or BIOS) password that must be entered to gain access to the hard drive.
