chetan Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Hello, when i'am making unattended windows xp it's showing me some error. I'am only adding update pack nothing else.......somebody can help me in this, i'am also posting error snaps.
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Welcome to MSFN. Please answer to a request and a few questions so we can solve this more easily.1. If you scroll to the top of this page, you will see a sign with red letters to attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. You will find it in the folder where you put Windows XP on your PC. Please, attach it.2. Did you integrate a Service Pack (e.g. SP2 or SP3) with nLite? This can cause problems if you're not running nLite on an XP system (and I see you're not)3. After you finished with nLite, did you start it again and work on the same XP install? You must always delete all the XP files in your working folder after you finish with nLite. If you want to run nLite again, you must copy the XP source again.Cheers,

johnhc Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 here is last session .inican somebody plz help me in this matterchetan, thanks for the Last Session. I see you are running nLite under Vista or W7 (6.1.7600.0). This may be a problem, especially if you are adding Service Pack, but I don't see your adding an SP. I do not use Update Packs, but I suspect the problem lies there. Where did the update pack come from - give us a link? For a test, please try without the pack. You should get no errors running nLite or installing your ISO. Enjoy, John.
chetan Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 (edited) I downloaded updates from http://xable.net Edited June 13, 2010 by chetan
johnhc Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 (edited) I downloaded updates from http://xable.netchetan, looks like it should be OK. Did you check the MD5 (B7336B61FA9D1A3529D131639A116FE5)? Enjoy, John.EDIT: I trust you are always starting with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders and running only one time. Edited June 13, 2010 by johnhc
chetan Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 MD5 (B7336B61FA9D1A3529D131639A116FE5)what is this? and sorry i didn't get your last message.
johnhc Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 MD5 (B7336B61FA9D1A3529D131639A116FE5)what is this? and sorry i didn't get your last message.chetan, MD5 is a hash code. It is used to verify that a DL has not had an error which corrupted the data. You use a hash generator to check the code when it is given by the DL site. The site you linked to provided the MD5 code, so you should check it. I use HashTab, but there are myriad free ones available via Google search. What is your original source CD? Does it contain SP3? If not, you need to add it (using nLite), but you must do this running nLite under XP, not Vista or W7. You should always start with a fresh copy of your CD file/folders. Never run nLite against a source folder that has had nLite run against it before. Enjoy, John.
chetan Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 john can you explain me exactly what i need to do with hashtab?
johnhc Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 john can you explain me exactly what i need to do with hashtab?chetan, you need to learn to do your own research. Google knows everything, almost! Here is a link to HashTab. It will add a tab to your Properties dialog. So, to use it you right click the file, go to Properties and select the File Hashes tab and compare the MD5 to the one supplied with the Update Pack. You did not answer any of my questions in my last reply. Please do so. Enjoy, John.
chetan Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 i have already downloaded hashtab but when i check update pack properties it's showing 3 type of hash's. Do i need to edit anything?
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 NO, just check that the MD5 is identical to this one MD5 (B7336B61FA9D1A3529D131639A116FE5)
