Kindari Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 When installing XP Pro from a cd made with nLite, I get file copying errors for files that have been removed by nLite (on purpose). Is the file list that xp setup uses to copy the files not dynamic?LAST SESSION.INI
Kindari Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Oh, I should note that by pressing Escape for each missing file (there were hundreds) continued with installation. Once passed text mode, install continued as normal. Once install was complete XP works as expected, just an odd hiccup there in the beginning.

I suspect you have run nLite more than once against the same source. You should always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders and run nLite only once. Please post a screen shot of some of the errors. If you are running a virtual system, this will be easy. VMware Player, VurtualPC and VirtualBox are free and I strongly recommend their use. BTW, "Explorer-Launch folder windows in a separate process" exposes a Windows bug and should not be used. This has nothing to do with your errors. Enjoy, John.
Ponch Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Most probably you have removed things (in a previous nLite session) before including SP3 which resets something that makes the installer think all those components should be present.
