Sp0iLedBrAt Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Is it just me, or there is someone with a similar problem like this one? When I open a .7z archive with the 7-Zip File Manager and click the "Add" button, I get this:but if I right-click any file and choose to add it to the same archive, there is no problem. If it makes any difference, I always use the LZMA - Ultra compression method.I am using 9.13 Beta, but previously I had the stable 4.65 and it was the same thing.

MrJinje Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 (edited) you cannot add while inside of a 7z archive, you need to go up one level, then hit add. after doing so, use ellipsis (...) and select your existing 7z file and then files can be added to the archive. It seems geared towards creating new archives, not editing existing ones.If you don't like it, can always drag and drop (much easier IMO) Edited May 9, 2010 by MrJinje
Sp0iLedBrAt Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 OK, thanks MrJinje. Funny thing, I used drag&drop with a trial of WinRAR I had, but it never occurred to me to do the same thing here
