Only USB partition

I'm trying to install windows XP from USB using the instructions provided here (BTW thanks)

All goes fine, my computer boots up from USB nicely, gets to XP boot menu, but XP only shows me 1 partition (the USB disk) to install the OS on.

Any ideas?
