am0254338 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Ok, i ran updates on a customers laptop (Gateway MX6931) and it blue screened. So that's typical and i have backups, but now when trying to just re-install MCE it will not detect the hard drive. The kicker is that vista will install and detect the drive just fine. So what i'm thinking is that Vista has some generic drivers for hard drives that MCE does not. Now my question is, is there any way i can use NLite to get those drivers from the Vista instillation to the MCE instillation disc?...also to note i have flashed the bios and tried to install hard drive drivers from a floppy with no success.
Ponch Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Unfortunately, nLite is for personal use only and you can't use it to fix your customer's laptop.
