need to import data from corrupted vista intallation

i have a spinning hard-drive with a corrupted installation of vista that the migration wizard can't be run on. i have a new hard-drive with a fresh installation of vista sp-2. how can i transfer the user accounts/settings/files if i can't run the migration wizard.

You manually get the relevant parts, of course.

Problem is which are them. :unsure:

Have you checked the actual reference for the USMT?:

I presume you can "break down" the migration in "smaller chunks" and find out which are the items that will choke the wizard.

I am jconklin's boss. We can't get the AIK to install in order to run the USMT. It's leaving us in a situation not too different from trying to run the migration wizard.
