Tripredacus Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Make sure you are using the Windows 7 version of the software and driver package from Creative. If you do not know how to get it, post your SoundBlaster model. For example, my soundcard is SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer. I downloaded the full package for Audigy on Windows 7 (includes drivers, Audio Console and Alchemy) and my sound works fine. However, the Audio Console did not have an option for me to set up Surround Sound, and I had to do this with the Windows option instead. This was unlike XP where the Creative software handled everything through the Audio Console.I know full well Creative's website can be confusing!
vikas036 Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 i m very very soory for late reply there was some problem with me. thanks for your reply my creative sound card model is following:card: creative sound blaster 5.1model: SB0680PLEASE HELP ME IF U FIND. THANKS
Tripredacus Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I'm going to presume the following:1. You have x86 Windows 72. You have a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1.As noted, Creative's site is confusing to say the least. For example, on the Win7 compatibility chart:http://support.creative.com/KB/showarticle.aspx?sid=61105&h=13You will not find your sound card, but then again mine isn't on there either. There may be a couple options for you still. Remember, the Creative software likely won't let you control the surround sound, but the Windows sound options will once you get the driver installed. This one looks like it might work.http://support.creative.com/Downloads/searchdownloads.aspx?filename=SB24_PCDRV_LB_1_04_0090.exe
cluberti Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 You can also try the Daniel_K drivers if your card is supported by them as well, if Creative leaves you in the lurch.
